Ingredients
Vanilla:
1 cup protein yogurt (substitute for DF protein yogurt for DFO)
1 scoop protein powder (plant protein for DFO, whey for non DFO)
1 tbsp maple syrup
Chocolate:
1 cup protein yogurt (substitute for DF protein yogurt for DFO)
1 scoop protein powder (plant protein for DFO, whey for non DFO)
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp cocoa powder
150g dark chocolate (optional, use sugar free chocolate for RSFO)
Berry:
1 cup protein yogurt (substitute for DF protein yogurt for DFO)
1 scoop protein powder (plant protein for DFO, whey for non DFO)
1 tbsp maple syrup
¼ cup berries (fresh or frozen)
Preparation
Yogurt Blocks:
Step 1
Place the yogurt, protein powder, and maple syrup in your food processor or a mixing bowl. If making chocolate flavour add cocoa powder, if making berry flavour add berries.
Step 2
Process the ingredients until light and fluffy. If mixing by hand, mix until smooth and fluffy (around 3 minutes).
Step 3
Pour mixture evenly between ice block moulds and freeze for 2 1/2 hours, or until frozen.
Step 4
Optional (for chocolate flavour): Melt dark chocolate completely in a pot over low-medium heat. Have a sheet of baking paper ready to put the iceblocks on. Remove the iceblocks from the freezer and coat them in the melted chocolate. Transfer them to the sheet of baking paper and immediately place them back in the freezer for a further 10-20 minutes or until solid.
Yogurt Tub:
Step 1
Place the yogurt, protein powder, and maple syrup in your food processor or a mixing bowl. If making chocolate flavour add cocoa powder, if making berry flavour add berries.
Step 2
Process the ingredients until light and fluffy. If mixing by hand, mix until smooth and fluffy (around 3 minutes).
Step 3
Transfer the mixture to a container, cover with cling wrap and freeze for 45 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from the freezer. Use a rubber spatula to stir the frozen edges into the soft center, then spread evenly again.
Step 5
Cover again, and place in the freezer for 2 more hours, repeating the process of stirring the yogurt every 30 minutes.
Step 6
When the entire mixture is frozen, serve immediately, or freeze for 1-2 more hours for a firmer consistency.
