Ingredients
400g chicken breast (substitute with tofu for DFO)
1 tbsp oil
1 ½ tbsp sesame seeds

Marinade:
â…“ cup soy sauce (can substitute for GF soy sauce)
3 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp lemon juice
â…“ cup honey (substitute with maple syrup for VGO)
1 tsp minced garlic
Preparation
Step 1
Slice the chicken breast into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, water, lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic until well combined. Place the chicken pieces in a separate bowl. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, reserving the other half for the sauce. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.Â
Step 3
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken to the pan, shaking off any excess marinate. Cook for roughly 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Pour the reserved marinade into the pan with the chicken. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and give it a quick toss.
